UAS Disabilities Services staff respect and promote the dignity and worth of all individuals and embrace human diversity within a warm, accepting, and confidential environment. What you can expect:
- Examination accommodations (extended time, distraction-reduced testing environment, readers, scribes, etc.)
- Communication accommodations (interpreters, note takers, assistive listening devices, etc.)

How do I know if I quality for disability services?
If you experience a documented disability and have barriers that impact one of your major life activities, please come talk with us about accommodations.
Does UAS provide testing to see if I have a disability?
UAS does not evaluate students for disabilities. We provide referrals to local professionals who can administer evaluations for learning, attention, or psychological disabilities.
Is there a cost?
No. There is no extra cost for disability services.

What about temporary disabilities?
If you experience a temporary disability, such as a broken leg or visual impairment due to eye surgery, please talk with us to see what services we have that might assist you.
What type of documentation do I need to bring to the initial appointment?
Documentation from a professional which supports need for an accommodation, or the impact on your functioning is required. Please be prepared to discuss your needs at the initial meeting.
