The Sitka Campus has scholarship opportunities available for different programmatic and demographic uses in supporting students. Any Sitka student wishing to be considered for these awards must fill out the UA Foundation scholarship application online. Students must be in good financial aid standing and have completed the FAFSA in most cases.
The website mentions a February deadline for this application to be considered for Foundation funds but Sitka Program students can apply year-round for campus foundation funds. Interested students should complete the application and contact Chris Washko, Student Success Manager, for more instructions or with questions.

LinkedIn is helping students find their university and pay for it! All you have to do is set up a Decision Board and you could win a $10k scholarship. What is a Decision Board?
Decision Boards allows prospective students to manage their school decision process and get help from friends, family, alumni, and current students at each step in that process.
There are 3 simple steps for a chance to win:
- Build your Decision Board
- Add a university or field of study
- Share your board
Before you can create a Decision Board, you will need to have a LinkedIn account. Signing up is free (you can pay for a Pro account). LinkedIn is a professional network that allows you to engage with other professionals or students and helps you stay relevant and current. Joining LinkedIn gives you access to the latest career news and job opportunities.
Blackboard is sponsoring a scholarship challenge! One lucky winner will be awarded $15,000 and two runners-up will receive $5,000.
- Fill out the online form and tell Blackboard: How are you going to use your education to make the world a better place? For extra credit, add a photo or video to your entry.
- Share your entry and get others to vote for you.
The student with the most votes by noon ET on Friday, August 29 wins! Good luck!
